Your wallet and keys
Your wallet asks before it signs. DarkTrade's key can trade on your account; it can't withdraw.
The app's wallet
Signing in with email, Google or Telegram gives you a wallet in the app. USDC you deposit arrives there, on Arbitrum One, and moves into your own Hyperliquid account. Your money stays in your own wallet and your own Hyperliquid account. DarkTrade never holds it.
Signatures
Each request opens Privy's window for you to approve. One does not: moving USDC that arrived at your wallet into your own Hyperliquid account.
Trading key
DarkTrade places trades with a key you approve. It can place and cancel orders and set leverage on your Hyperliquid account. It can't withdraw, it's never used to move your funds, it expires after 90 days, and Disconnect deletes it on our side.
Turn on trading
Turn on trading approves two things with your wallet, each in Privy's window: DarkTrade's trading key and its builder fee.
Key expiry
The key is valid for a limited time. The Wallet tab and your alerts tell you a week before, two days before and on the day it expires; Renew gives you a new one.
Withdraw and export
Withdraw sends USDC from your Hyperliquid account to an address you choose. Export wallet shows your wallet's key in Privy's window, after an authenticator.
Disconnect
Disconnect deletes DarkTrade's key on our side, and nothing more is placed with it. Its approval on your Hyperliquid account lapses on the key's expiry date; the Wallet tab says how to end it sooner.
Existing wallet
Signed in with a wallet you already had? It stays your wallet: it approves with its own prompts, and you deposit or withdraw on Hyperliquid's own app.
